1. Start with Technical Upgrades

Before renovating the visible parts of your home, first check the electrical system, plumbing, heating, ventilation, insulation, solar energy and future space requirements. Planning these systems early prevents repeated demolition, unnecessary costs and future repairs. We will explain each area step by step—starting with the electrical installation.

• Electrical Installation & Meter Box

Have you bought a new home or are you renovating your current property? The electrical system should be one of the first things you check. We start by reviewing your meter box, current energy use and phase connection. If your renovation includes high-power equipment, we may recommend a three-phase connection. If this is not necessary, we continue with the existing system.

We then check whether the electrical groups are correctly and safely distributed, whether new groups are required and whether the meter box needs updating. Heavy equipment may be connected to the wrong group, or old wiring may have been repeatedly extended. We correct these issues, organise the installation and add the necessary protection and warning devices. This reduces the risk of overloaded circuits, power failures, electrical faults and fire. If the installation is already in good condition, we can also help with smaller work such as adding or moving sockets, switches, lighting points and other electrical connections.

Note: Converting a property from a single-phase to a three-phase connection requires two separate steps. First, the meter box must be prepared by a certified electrical installer. The grid connection and electricity meter are then upgraded by the network operator. The network operator’s costs are charged separately and may vary depending on the property and required work.

• Plumbing & Drainage Renovation

Have you bought a new home or are you renovating your current property? After the electrical system, the water and drainage installation is one of the first areas to check.

We inspect the complete system for leaks, old metal pipes, damaged connections and incorrectly installed drains. We clearly explain what should be replaced, what can be repaired and what can safely remain. If everything is working correctly, no unnecessary work is carried out.

When renewal is needed, we replace the old pipes and prepare the hot water, cold water and drainage connections for the kitchen, bathroom, toilet and utility room. We also install concealed cistern connections, underfloor-heating pipes and the heating manifold. Every system is pressure-tested and checked for leaks before the walls and floors are closed.

Note: We also consider your future plans. When useful, we prepare closed water, drainage or heating connections for the front garden, back garden or a future house extension. This prevents finished walls and floors from being reopened later and saves unnecessary time and cost.

• Hot Water, Heating & Radiators

Is your heating system getting old, or are you renovating your home? We first check the boiler, hot-water demand, radiators, heating pipes, thermostat and insulation level. The right system depends on the size of the property, number of residents and how much hot water is used at the same time.

A larger device is not automatically better. If the existing system is safe and suitable, we keep it. If renewal is necessary, we install the selected device, renew the required pipes, prepare or relocate the radiators and complete all pressure, leakage, temperature and operating tests.

Note: We also consider future plans such as a house extension, second bathroom, underfloor heating, heat pump or solar panels. Preparing the correct capacity, pipework and additional connections now prevents finished walls and floors from being reopened later, saving time and unnecessary costs.

• Plumbing & Drainage Renovation

Have you bought a new home or are you renovating your current property? The water supply and drainage system should be one of the first things you check. We start by reviewing the main water connection, water pressure, visible pipes and the drainage points in the kitchen, bathroom, toilet and utility room.

In older homes, we check for lead, galvanised or damaged pipes. We also inspect the water flow, drainage slope, pipe connections, ventilation and possible leaks. If necessary, we use a camera to inspect the main sewer line for blockages, cracks or collapsed sections.

If everything is safe and working correctly, we continue with the existing system. If a problem is found, we repair only the necessary section. During a complete renovation, old pipes hidden behind new walls or floors may be better replaced in advance. This helps prevent leaks, blockages, unpleasant odours and unnecessary demolition later.

Note: Before closing the walls and floors, we also consider your future plans. If you may later add a second bathroom, utility room, kitchen or extension, the required water and drainage connections can be prepared in advance. If the existing installation is already suitable, no unnecessary work is carried out and there is no unnecessary cost.

• Ventilation & Moisture Control

Is your home difficult to ventilate, or are you planning a renovation? We first check the existing ventilation unit, air ducts and extraction points in the kitchen, bathroom and toilet. We also look for moisture, condensation, mould and poor airflow.

If the current system is clean and working correctly, we keep it. If improvement is needed, we clean or renew the ducts, reposition the ventilation points and install the right unit. Depending on the home, this may be a simple mechanical extraction system or balanced ventilation with heat recovery.

Note: Good insulation and good ventilation should always work together. If you are planning an extension, extra bathroom, new kitchen or additional rooms, we prepare the required air ducts and connections during the renovation. This prevents moisture problems and avoids reopening finished walls and ceilings later.

• Solar Panels & Home Battery

Are you planning solar panels or a home battery? We first check your annual electricity consumption, roof condition, available roof space, meter box and current phase connection. We then calculate how many panels you actually need and whether a battery will provide real value for your home.

A larger system is not automatically better. The panels, inverter and battery must work together and match your current use and future plans. We install the complete system, arrange the cabling and protection, connect it to the meter box and test the installation before delivery.
